Network Technology Team
The group deals with computer networks, operating systems and cyber security. Professionally guarantees the key subjects of the Administration IS/ICT study program. The team is engaged in research in areas of communication in computer networks and cyber security.
Computer networks:
- teaching and training for the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, JNCIA-Junos and MTCNA,
- testing and operation of a software-defined network (SDN),
- research the efficiency and security of new network technologies and protocols (eg HTTP/3, IM, IoT, MSTP and QoS).
Operating systems:
- teaching administration of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server) and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, KVM, VMware),
- specialize on OS deployment automation (Ansible, Microsoft SCCM).
Cyber security:
- teaching students of IT and economics programs the basics of cyber security and safe behavior on the Internet,
- theoretically and practically prepare students for CCSA and JNCIS-Sec certifications,
- perform penetration tests of network and server infrastructure as well as websites and applications,
- design and implement measures to eliminate security deficiencies,
- research in the field of social engineering (e.g. user behavior patterns when creating passwords, phishing prevention) and IT infrastructure security (e.g. prevention of spam delivery).
